How long can I download my purchase?

For as long as you hold the licence. There is no download window, no expiry on the link, and no cap on how many times you can take a copy.

Why we do it this way

You bought a licence to use the item, not a one-off delivery of a zip file. Losing a laptop, rebuilding a server or coming back to a project two years later should not cost you the thing you paid for. So the download stays available, and it always serves the newest published version rather than the one that existed on the day you bought.

Downloads are tied to your account

Files are served through us after we check the licence, not from a public link, so you need to be signed in as the buyer. That is also why a download link cannot be forwarded to somebody else, and why a link you saved will ask you to sign in rather than quietly serving the file to whoever has it.

The one exception

If an item is removed from sale because of a copyright claim or a security problem, we may have to take the files down. That is rare, and if it happens to something you own we tell you rather than letting you discover it. Buyers who bought that item within the previous 30 days may be eligible for a refund or account credit, at our discretion. Older purchases are not eligible, because the item was supplied and used as sold at the time. See the download policy.

An item simply being retired by its seller does not affect you. Sellers can stop selling an item whenever they like, and existing buyers keep their downloads.
